Make your way over to Wilderness Road while you visit the City of Kingsport. Specifically, it is only a small portion of the much larger road that goes through Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky.

Travel over to the eastern end of the road. A sizeable portion of the road is not far off from Kingsport as it heads near the Holston River.

Move along the same road that many settlers in the late eighteenth century walked along. The road near Kingsport, TN was crucial to the development of the region. It was here that settlers from the east would travel into Kentucky to settle in the state. Daniel Boone was important in figuring out a proper space for the road to travel through. Experience the history of the region as you move where they went through en route to Kentucky.

Watch for some of the narrow and rough patches of the road. A large portion of the road can only be traveled by foot or on horseback.
