Head out to the field in Smyrna, TN to see the many spaces where soldiers fought. Look for some of the old fort-like spaces set up around the field. See the old cannon that remains in place around one of the forest spaces.

Honor the people who fought in the City of Smyrna at the cemetery on the battlefield site. Some of the cemetery stones date back to not long after the fight although a few people, particularly those on the Confederate site, have since been deterred and moved further south. See the Hazen Brigade monument, the oldest Civil War monument believed to still be standing, as you enter the cemetery. The monument was constructed just months after the battle took place.
