The site of Morristown College is currently the site of a park in the middle of Morristown, TN. A few of the buildings that the college was held on are still intact and around the park. Visit the old Morristown College site and visit sections that were critical to supporting the black population.
See many spaces around Morristown, Tennessee where the local black community studied. The school was prominent for being one of a few places before the Civil Rights Movement where black residents could study in Tennessee. The venue was critical to supporting students who were not accepted in other schools but eventually closed down after other schools around Tennessee were integrated.
See a few of the old buildings around the site that hosted classes and other special activities. Some of the buildings still hold offices in areas around where classes were taught.
