Visit a home in Franklin, Tennessee that was essential to the Battle of Franklin in 1864. The Lotz House is a mid-nineteenth century home that was built for a family in the area. Many scars of the battle can be found around the house.

See the three fireplaces around the inside. Each one in this house in Franklin, TN features its own distinct design.

Look for the old water supply station at the house. This is an area that was poisoned by Union forces before the battle. The poisoning led to the deaths of two of the children in the family.

See the hiding spaces around the house where the family inside it hid during the battle. Look at the cannon ball holes that were formed during the fight. Look at how the entire back wall appears to have been fully replaced as Confederate forces had destroyed that part of the house.

Try and find a few old blood stains around the floors and walls inside the house inside the City of Franklin. The house was used as a field hospital for soldiers who had been seriously wounded. A few pieces of equipment that were used at the time are on display.
